It is a continuation of my MA thesis research on the relationship between history, memory, and freedom. To expand my research, I spent 4 months living in Edinburg and London with my close friends who migrated to the UK after the pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong in 2019. Together, we shared meals, beds, conversions, and moanings to the loss of our family, our friends, and our home. We visited the UK National Archive in London and tried to find the traces of our home. This is an intimate investigation of my diaspora family history and my identity as a Hong Konger.
